Laser PMU removal isn’t painless, but it is fast! Most clients describe the treatment as a warm, snapping sensation—similar to a rubber band snap—and any discomfort fades quickly after the session. A little ice afterward is all you need to soothe the skin.
There’s no real downtime! Mild redness and swelling may appear but fade quickly. Most clients feel comfortable wearing makeup the next day. Results are immediate and continue to improve for up to 12 weeks as pigment breaks down gradually.
Every case is different, but most clients do need multiple sessions depending on color, depth, and skin type. Our gentle, FDA-approved laser is made specifically for PMU removal. In some cases, just 1-2 sessions may be enough for a fresh new look.
Emergency removal lightens unwanted pigment before it has a chance to settle and heal into the skin. If done within 48-72 hours of a botched service, just one session can be very successful, resulting in moderate to full removal once healed.
We exclusively use the Li-FT® system, a high-salt, fruit seed extract saline solution. Through osmosis, the solution lifts pigment up and out of the skin. As the area heals, pigment rises to the surface and forms a scab, which removes the ink when it flakes off.
This process requires patience. Expect scabbing and flaking as the area heals. Visible fading can be expected within 2–5 weeks,
though results depend on pigment depth, saturation, and how much needs to be removed. Proper aftercare is key.
Healing isn’t glamorous—scabbing pulls out pigment, and the longer scabs stay, the better the lightening. Interrupting scabs risks damage or scarring.
Expect tightness, itchiness, redness, and dryness during healing.
Keep the area clean & dry by blotting with saline only, several times a day until scabs fall off. Avoid covering the area and keep it dry.
Limit water exposure, no soaking or steam, no baths, swimming, saunas, tanning, or exercise until healed.
